A Couple Navigates First-Time Home Buying

Tricia and Kurt decided it was time to stop renting and take the plunge into home ownership. The agents they initially engaged just weren’t working out for them, and they struggled to find someone who they felt had their best interests in mind. Here’s Tricia’s thoughts on the process of working together:
“We were feeling a bit disheartened after having bad experiences with other agents before we were introduced to Cara. I was referred to Cara by a fellow associate at my firm who had worked with her in the past and loved her. Cara picked up the phone immediately when I called her out of the blue for the first time and spent almost an hour talking to us about what we were looking for and how we'd been burned by real estate agents previously. She seemed like she genuinely cared and was very knowledgable and personable, so we felt comfortable and safe moving forward with her. Being first time homebuyers, we had a TON of questions. She was super patient and available and always had a big smile on her face.Cara is really funny and personable. She's always available via phone or text and I loved talking to her about our dogs! She made it feel like we were working with a (very knowledgable) friend. She also went above and beyond, handling things for us that were definitely not in her job description, including negotiating the return of inspection money and going out of her way to pick the check up herself when the attorney wouldn't mail it. Months after moving in, she still checks in and seems genuinely interested in our remodel and wedding planning process!”
